| Description | A child's aviator cap with a dark grey herringbone body with olive drab wool sides. Bright silver snap closure. Tag inside strap says "Lot | MEDIUM". Gold-on-black woven tape across front has early-WWII US aircraft national emblems (circle inside a star, inside a circle) in gold on the sides, with "AVIATOR" over a winged shield in the center. This is the same weaving pattern as on Child's blue wool aviator cap, "Prince of Wales", but all in gold. | |
