Description | Left hand iron elbow lock, with black paint. Outside handle has a thin washer. There is the latch, the key-bolt, and a privacy latch. The key-hole is shaped like a "J". For installation on the right side of a door, on the inside, with the second handle and the keyhole protruding through the door. One two that were purported to have come from an old stone church which was turned into a house. See Dutch elbow lock, no key (left hand) for the other. Late 19th Century cut nail found stuck inside, on the deadbolt spring. |
