| Description |
A homemade, 4-pocket tunic with epaulets and standing collar, for a very young child. Simple breeches and overseas cap, all unlined. Tunic has four faux patch pockets. Four button front, with dark bronze Scoville buttons. Front closes with snaps, with buttons simply sewn to the front, with bent loops. Plain cuffs. Collar has a single hook and broken eye.
Each side of the collar has an unmarked, pin-back, blackened cadacaus with a gilt "DC" cipher in the center, for Dental Corps. On the epaulets are faux-bullion silvered-brass pin-back captain's bars.
The breeches have only a waistband tie-string closure, with a safety pin added to the fly. Unhemmed, or cut, with no pockets.
The cap is of the same fabric, but is slightly darker than the other two pieces. |
