Child's pith helmet. White cotton over (assumed) cork. Two ventilation grommets on each side. Green twill lining under the brim. Thin white cotton or linen lining, partially closed with a thread in teh center, leaving a space to view a label pasted in the center top. The label is blue on white, in a large double oval, but there is significant loss, mostly to the top. The word(s) at the top are not legible. At the bottom is "HELMET". In the center is a blue sun, below what appears to be monogram, possibly "SS" over "A".
