Description A brown jacket with four patch pockets, lined in a thin green cotton and very thin white fabric with stripes (sleeves). Child's brass US Army buttons were dark, but are heavily worn to brass. Half-stripes on each cuff. Rounded fall-collar has a small brass pin-back 2nd Lieutenants bar on the right side, and a small die-struck bronze pin-back cadacaus with silver "U.S" on the left collar. This insignia is unmarked, but for a small "W" on the side of the pin at the hinge.

On the left shoulder is a red felt disc with a white chieck machine-embroidered on it, carefully hand-stitched to the sleeve. This is the sleeve insignia of the U.S. Ambulance Service.

Separation at seam of left cuff. Small repair at corner of lower left pocket. Right belt loop has been reattached at the top.
