Description A black wool uniform coat with tails, and white wool collar trimmed in gold lace, with metallic gold embroidery. Similar metallic gold embroidery on the chest. Eight-button front, with six buttons at back (waist and tails), and two on each cuff. A single hook and eye closes the collar.

Cloth is torn where the tails meet.

White faux ruffled cuffs sewn to cuffs.

Black lining requires more investigation. Could be polished cotton or silk, or a combination.

Buttons have what appears to be the national crest of Colombia, with the motto "Libertad y Orden", and are marked on the back "CITY BUTTON WORKS - | N. Y." CBW were in NY from 1875 until 1923.
