He's wearing four-button tunic, with pleated patch-pockets, a stand-fall collar, unusually buttoned with brass buttons, riding breeches, and holding a peaked cap in his hand. No insignia. The photograph is mounted in a card mat, with a difficult-to-see embossed mark at lower right: "Jennisch Studio | 413 1/2 15TH ST. | MOLINE, ILL." Jennisch Studio operated at that address from as early as 1916 to as late as 1922. |
