Name Child's WWI cotton US Army tunic, 1st Ohio Infantry

Catalog ID HCM5957
Year circa 1918-1930
Description A khaki cotton four-pocket tunic, with stand-up collar. Five-button front. Top bottom has been moved to close the collar more. Hooks and eyes at collar. Buttons are Civil War-style eagle buttons, with rusted steel backs, and a brown finish. Buttons are held with cotter pins. On the collar are unmarked pin-back devices, a full-size "O.H.", and a small Infantry crossed-rifles with a "1" above. The cuffs have gold braid. Inside are three labels: "Aldhaus" (written; owner's name?). "The MAY Co | DENVER", and "The Regatta Suit | REGISTERED | Lot | Size 10", with an "H & Co" logo. May Co appears to be the retailer, and Regatta Suit the manufacturer.

In the lower left pocket is a white flannel internal pocket, which has been removed from somewhere, possibly not this tunic.
