Name Child's USMC dress blues uniform (cotton)

Catalog ID HCM5948
Year circa 1946-1970
Description A child's USMC dress blues uniform, constructed of cotton twill. Four-pocket coat has riveted US Army-style bright brass buttons, and red cotton piping. The top pockets are only flaps, and the bottom pockets have false flaps (with openings above). There is a 3/8" WWII-era American Defense Service Medal ribbon, with pin-back, above the left breast pocket. There are two toy fouled-anchor pin-back pot-metal EGA collar insignia on the collar (both left-side, with anchor at lower-left). There are two crudely-printed Master Technical Sergeant chevrons on the sleeves.

White tag at the collar states, "Sanforized | 100% Cotton | RN 18985 | Size 8 | Medium".

The light-blue trousers have elastic at the waist, no pockets, a blue-plastic button and zipper fly, 5/16" red stripe, and an external tag at the left waist: "100% Cotton | RN 18985 | Size 8 | Medium", probably the same as the one on the coat.
