Description |
A stamped steel toy gun, with wooden stock. Total length only about 17". Has a spinning wheel with four pegs, on which rubber bands are to be loaded. Each press of the trigger allows the wheel to spin one fourth of a rotation.
Stock is slightly loose. Wheel is too tight. Minor rust.
Stamped on the left side of the "receiver", "FRANDINE MODEL C, | U.S. PAT.{ | 1724271 | 1724708 | 1748215 | CAN. PAT. 302691".
The first patent indicates that the rubber bands could be cut from "old inner tubes." The three U.S. patents were granted in 1929 and 1930.
