Name Child's British Army service dress uniform

Catalog ID HCM5776
Year circa 1918-2000
Description Uniform consisting of an other-ranks five-button service dress jacket, of rough brown wool, with stand-fall collar, box-pleated chest pockets, and minimal white cotton lining (1918 pattern, with lining along the front openings). Jacket appears to be completely 1918/postwar-pattern, except there are still two darts on each side of the neck, instead of one. Buttons feature the British coat of arms. Large brass buttons appear to be cheap imitations, while smaller buttons on the pockets are higher quality, though unmarked.

Trousers are of the same course wool, with only two side slash pockets at the seams. Minimal lining, like the jacket. Brown plastic buttons in the fly and for braces.

Sized approximately for a 10-12 year-old.

Both pieces are unmarked, and have no insignia.
