Very small "JR" in the lower right corner, the initial of Holgate's chief toy designer, Jarvis Rockwell. This is currently the earliest use of his initials on a toy that I'm aware of.

| Description | Large, round-topped plywood play-clock, with bell at top. Nursery-rhyme characters are painted on the front. Decal type 4b (dt4b) below the "XII" peg. Small yellow pegs with red Roman numerals on them. All are present, but the "IV" is missing paint. Red stand. Missing mallet. Very small "JR" in the lower right corner, the initial of Holgate's chief toy designer, Jarvis Rockwell. This is currently the earliest use of his initials on a toy that I'm aware of. |
