Description |
A steel-mounted Kindersäbel (child's sword), with well-formed blunted, curved blade, with two fullers and etched 2/3 of the length. Steel-wire-wrapped hilt. Handguard has geometric pattern. Nickel plating is peeling on tip of sword, and within some etching, and is abraded on the handguard. Three wire wraps have broken and are at least partially missing. Appears unmarked. Black painted steel scabbard with two rings is also of a high quality.
21 3/4" blade, though blunted, is surprisingly well proportioned and thin on the cutting edge. Slight damage to the last several inches, where the plating is lost. 26 3/4" overall length. |
