Description |
A blue wool Kriegsmarine uniform, made for a child of around four years of age. It consists of a wool waistcoat and Paradejacke (Affenjacke), and a cotton striped collar.
The Jacket is open-front, with two rows of 5 brass buttons. The center button-link is missing. The cuffs have a thin gold stripe, and three small buttons. It is lined in black twill rayon (?), with striped sleeve lining. A vertical red anchor, fouled with a golden rope, over a single red chevron, is directly embroidered on the left sleeve. There is a woven label inside the collar, with "BERLINER | ERZEUGNIS", followed by a standing bear facing left.
The blue cotton collar has three white stripes, and is buttoned into the collar of the jacket.
The waistcoat is a similar blue wool, with four sleeve-sized buttons. The back is black rayon, and the inside and pockets are lined in the same silver/white striped lining as the sleeves of the jacket. There is a single mother-of-pearl button on the inside of each shoulder.
