Description | A nearly complete example, in a deteriorating box. The only thing that appears to be missing is the pair of supports on the bottom of the caboose's roof, which keep it from sliding around. The train is dirty, and has a few minor cracks, including at the nose, and possibly some glued repairs. There are four green wood couplers, which appears to be how these were originally shipped, as Holgate #777 "Holgate Cherry Railroad" has four of them, as well. The two supports on the caboose roof are missing. The box is a poor example of their play-type boxes, where the box itself is printed to look like a train depot, and can be used in play. It is made of thick corrugated cardboard, and is stapled together. There are additional folds, which enable it to be folded into a building shape, where the top flaps meet in the center as a pointed roof. The box appears to be complete, but is separated in multiple places. Conservation is required. |
