| Description | Classic 1938 "ships and stars" wagon. This was the culmination of the ship theme, prior to the change to soldiers, sailors, and band members that dominated later wagons. Arrived broken in shipping (center cross-support's nails snapped through the bottom edge of the side). Will fix. Axles are steel, 1/4" diameter by 2 1/2" long, press fit into the wood. The front right wheel was removed to facilitate the repair. Bottom appears to be cardboard, and fits into the ends only. |
