| Description | One of the first injection-molded plastic toy cars. Blue body with black wheels, with comet-like symbol molded and printed on the sides. "KILGORE | MADE | IN U.S.A." and "JEWELS FOR | PLAYTHINGS" molded on inside (compare to Kilgore "Jewels for Playtings" yellow truck). Front wheels don't roll well, but better than on Kilgore "Jewels for Playtings" light blue coupe. Brighter color than that one, as well. Jewels for Playthings were included by Holgate with some of their wooden ferries, from around 1940-1943. |
