Description | "Heath's Modern Language Series A German Grammar for Schools and Colleges based on the Public School German Grammar of A. L. Meissner, M.A., Ph.D., D.Lit. Professor of Modern Languages in Queen's College, Belfast By Edward S. Joynes, M.A. Professor Of Modern Languages in South Carolina University Bostn, U.S.A. D.C. Heath & Co. Publishers 1901" Cloth, spine missing. Bookplate of "A. E. Isham". Unknown origin, probably a gift to me from one of MCH's friends. I think this is the book I learned German handwriting from in high school (I used it to write early "drafts" of papers for English class so the teacher wouldn't know I only wrote one draft). Could this have belonged to Ann Elizabeth Isham of Chicago, who died on the Titanic and whose father was a law partner of Robert Todd Lincoln? |
