Description From an album containing the following inscription: "This patch came from the collection housed at the Records Branch, WDPC at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas donated by veterans returning for separation during 1945-6. The name on the patch indicates the GI who liberated the patch from his uniform. The collection was displayed on the wall of the Records Branch office at Fort Leavenworth, and was presented to the KDC upon deactivation of the WDPC."

Held to card with three staples. Typed description below patch:
"9th DIVISION | Originally approved 18 Nov 25. | The design of a double quatrefoil | is the sign of a 9th son. Red | and blue are designating colors | of an infantry division hq flag; | white is for numbers used in | divisional flags. | | Cont by Sgt Vogtman".
